A William IV 'Snakeskin' Beaker
London 1832
Maker's Mark of William Eley
Faded Silver Gilt
Height: 9.5cm (3.75in)

This is a beautiful and rare example of a silver gilt snake skin beaker in English silver. this type of beaker was popular in Europe in the late 17th century and this beaker would have probably been made as a bespoke commission to copy an existing beaker. This beaker is beautifully made and would make a perfect water or wine cup on your table. We have another very similar English example currently in stock and also and original late 17th century example.
